Market Neutral Equity Fund

Fund Objective

The objective of the fund is to generate consistent, absolute returns, regardless of the direction of the equity market, in excess of 250 basis points over the Stefi Call Rate.

The fund generates returns by investing in focused pairs of equities, i.e. by simultaneously buying and selling equities of a similar nature. The product is currently not available to the individual investor.

Profile of ideal investor

Investors in this fund benefit in two respects. Returns, while not guaranteed are generated with an absolute return profile in mind and secondly the returns have a very low level of correlation with equities as an asset class. Inclusion of the fund in a balanced portfolio therefore provides the added benefit of diversification.
